LYRICS
We can weather
Weather any storm
We can prosper
Rise above the alarm

We can see
Returning to the sea
Or, rather
The sea returns to us?

From the sea
The contents of us…
Be
Let’s gather
Celebrate humanity
… we can be glorious

Mostly, H2O
A dash of salt
Built with know

Let us play
Sing and dance the day away

Written and recorded on May 19, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It is a song about what humans are made of… including the ghost in the machine. Approximately 70 percent of the human body is made up of water. Our waste is mostly salt water. However, there is that part we call the soul. While I was writing the song, three children climbed up onto the pedestal of the statue and commenced to do a wild jig. That was exactly the ghost in the machine I was trying to describe.
