[Intro]
One-repetition maximum
(Can’t do it again)
[Verse 1]
Do you measure up
(To expectations)
Does it disrupt
(Your exclamations)
[Chorus]
One-repetition maximum
(Can’t do it again)
It’s all one and done
(Darwin won)
[Bridge]
A stress test
(Do your best)
[Verse 2]
If it’s just once
(Is it a repetition)
Don’t wanna be a dunce
(Defeating expectations)
[Chorus]
One-repetition maximum
(Can’t do it again)
It’s all one and done
(Darwin won)
[Bridge]
A stress test
(Do your best)
[Chorus]
One-repetition maximum
(Can’t do it again)
It’s all one and done
(Darwin won)
[Outro]
A stress test
(Do your best)
Did one…
(Forget the rest)
Feeling strong
(Let’s go on)
Let’s go long
ABOUT THE SONG
Strength is measured in several ways, most commonly through the one-repetition maximum (1RM) test, which finds the heaviest weight you can lift once in a specific exercise. Other methods include using a dynamometer for a precise grip strength measurement, grading muscle strength on a scale for clinical purposes, or performing exercises to a maximum number of repetitions and calculating the 1RM from that.
