LYRICS
From across the street… thundering applause
Then, a yell from a junk
Bring on the funk
Life’s your stage
Don’t act your age
Life’s our stage
Unlock your cage
Sometimes it’s best when the song ends
Giving rise to the tide… the audience begins
Clap your hands
Whistle and shout
Let love’s emotion out
[ruckus takes place]
Sometimes the feat of the street
Posses your beat
You don’t wanna fade out
Rather end with a bang
No, don’t wanna fade out [fake fade out]
Want this song to be sang
Sing, sang, sung
The miles of smiles riles
Imagination
Creation
Salvation
Stimulation
Imagination

Written and recorded September 14, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The song started off being inspired by an old Blondie song on the radio, “Call Me”. Then, while I was writing the guitar part, an unexpected round of applause started from across the street. Next, I was recording the vocals inside the cab of the mobile recording studio… right when it was time to sing “Sometimes the feat of the street posses your beat”… a couple kids caused a severe banging on the vehicle. There is nothing like playing and creating music… especially when there is audience participation.
