Opaque Couché

LYRICS
Opaque couché
En Garde! Touché!

Can a color be ugly
Let’s look and see
Are your guts pretty
As pretty as can be

Have you ever looked within your skin
What are the tales of your entrails
Opaque couché
En Garde! Touché!

How can you suggest
A color’s the ugliest
If you don’t mind
Being color blind
Opaque couché
En Garde! Touché!

Look inside and see what you see
Are your guts pretty
As pretty as can be
Opaque couché
En Garde! Touché!

Opaque Couché

Opaque Couché

The song is about a study of the ugliest color: “The agency GfK asked a thousand smokers which colour they found most visually offensive, with a view to covering cigarette packets with it. Pantone 448C, or opaque couché came out top. Respondents associated the colour with “dirty”, “death”, and “tar”.”  Well, before you call a color ugly, look at the color of your insides.
