Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic folklore figure described as “half-goat, half-demon”. During the Christmas season, Krampus punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts. Krampus is one of the companions of Saint Nicholas in regions including Austria, Bavaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia and Northern Italy.
Krmapus would take naughty children, place them in a sack, and whoop ’em with a stick.
LYRICS
Have you been naughty
Have you been nice
If it’s naughty,
Better think twice
There’s a Krampus amongst us
Bound and a gag
Gonna “stick” you in his bag
Yup, gonna stick you in a sack
Then, proceed to whack, whack, whack
There’s a Krampus amongst us
You better not cry… you better not fuss
A Krampus among us
Have you been good… have you been bad?
Going to turn the bad into sad
A Christmas Krampus going to smash and thump us
Might dole out a lump of coal
