The Book of Revelations in the New Testament lists the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as conquest, war, famine and death, while in the Old Testament’s Book of Ezekiel they are sword, famine, wild beasts and pestilence or plague.
The plagues are: water turning to blood, frogs, lice, flies, livestock pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and the killing of firstborn children.
At such times, we can remember there will be a day when this present creation will give way to the new creation (Isa. 65:17)
[Intro]
[Noise]
[Sirens]
[Applause]
Conquest, war, famine, and death,
Sword, famine, beasts, and pestilence’s breath:
… wild beasts and pestilence upon plague.
And, the plagues are: water turning to blood, frogs, lice, flies, livestock pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and the killing of firstborn children.
You’d better run?
[Verse 1]
Conquest, war, famine, and death,
Sword, famine, beasts, and pestilence’s breath.
The plagues descend, a relentless tide,
As humanity trembles, nowhere to hide.
[Break]
[Bridge]
Relentless tide
Nowhere to hide
Nowhere to run
Ain’t no fun
Under the sun
[Break]
[Verse 2]
Four Horsemen riding, Dragons skydiving
From Revelation’s grasp, Man’s last gasp
The signs of the end, forevermore
Known as folklore, lure
[Pre-Chorus]
The lure of ole’ folklore
For it won’t be ’round much more
[Chorus]
The allure of forevermore
The good ole days, when we had it made
In the days made in the shade
[Break]
[Verse 3]
Conquest, war, famine and death
Sword, famine, beasts, and pestilence’s breath.
The plagues descend, a relentless tide,
As humanity trembles, nowhere to hide.
[Break]
Back in the days, where we’d reside
[Pre-Chorus]
The lure of ole’ folklore
For it won’t be ’round much more
[Chorus]
The allure of forevermore
The good ole days, when we had it made
In the days made in the shade
[Break]
Water turns to blood, a crimson sea,
Frogs and lice, a plague decree.
Flies and pestilence, upon the land,
Livestock fall, at the Horsemen’s command.
Command, command the land
Understand?
Boils and hail, darkness and locusts swarm,
The cries of anguish, a deafening storm.
Firstborn children, in the night’s chill,
The prophecy fulfilled, a bitter pill.
[Bridge]
But amidst the chaos, a promise gleams,
In Mother’s words, a hope redeems.
For in the midst of darkness, a light shall shine,
A new creation, void of “mine” design.
{Break]
[Outro]
Though trials may come, and darkness reign,
There’s solace in knowing, it’s not in vain.
For behold the chaos, beyond the strife,
A new creation awaits, a new life.
[End]
[Silence]
