Houston, we have a problem
[Verse 1]
Put it into full gallop
We’ve under a wallop
Storm so severe
Brings knowledge near
[Bridge]
Houston, we have a problem
And, we confess, the problem’s us
[Chorus]
Still the rebel yell
Drill, drill, drill!
Lies we tell
Earth, we kill!
[Instrumental, Slide Guitar, Drum Fills]
[Verse 2]
Now, bring on the heat
On the wall, heads beat
Deadly humid heat
We cannot beat
[Bridge]
Houston, we have a problem
And, we confess, the problem’s us
[Chorus]
Still the rebel yell
Drill, drill, drill!
Lies we tell
Earth, we kill!
[Instrumental, Saxophone Solo, Slide Guitar, Bass]
[Bridge]
Houston, we have a problem
And, we confess, the problem’s us
Look at our mess
And, our problems just begin
Seeping in
Creeping in
While fat cat oil rats
Still drill, drill, drill
[Chorus]
Still the rebel yell
Drill, drill, drill!
Lies we tell
Earth, we kill!
[Outro]
Still the rebel yell
Drill, drill, drill!
A SCIENCE NOTE
May 10, 2024: “Deadly storm wallops Houston as ferocious winds leave a destructive path across the South.” The storm left death and destruction, and thousands without power. The forecast predicts an unprecedented spring heatwave, putting all those without power in a deadly situation. The greatest short term climate change risk to human health is deadly humid heat (wet-bulb temperature).
