[Intro]
(The war song)
What went wrong

[Verse 1]
I scroll through the smoke on a blinding screen
Missiles fall on silence turned a bloody scene
They say it’s the start of World War Three
But can you tell me…
is it just more profit dressed as prophecy

One man fans the fire with a flag in hand
Pulled the plug on peace, redrew the line in the sand
Fed the hawks in suits and the tyrants’ plan
Now the world leans close to a no-man’s land

[Pre-Chorus]
And I hear them cry about machines
While the oceans rise and cities scream
They blame the code, but not the kings’ scheme
They fear the wires, not the regimes

[Chorus]
While the world burns, they chase a ghost
Blinded by silicon, powered by boast
No one’s looking at the hand with the match
They’re too busy fearing a server crash

While the skies bleed and rivers dry
They argue if AI’s too sly
But it’s not the bots who built the bombs
It’s us—too quiet, too calm

[Bridge]
(The war song)
What went wrong

[Verse 2]
He called the truth “bullshit,” laughed at the storm
Tore the pages from science, rewrote the norm
Signed away the safeguards, fed the flame
Said profit’s holy—Earth’s just a game

Now the air is thick with oil and lies
And the Arctic melts while freedom dies
He gave Putin cover, gave Bibi his nod
And sold out the planet like it’s just a facade

[Pre-Chorus]
And I hear them cry about machines
While the oceans rise and cities scream
They blame the code, but not the kings’ scheme
They fear the wires, not the regimes

[Chorus]
While the world burns, they chase a ghost
Blinded by silicon, powered by boast
No one’s looking at the hand with the match
They’re too busy fearing a server crash

While the skies bleed and rivers dry
They argue if AI’s too sly
But it’s not the bots who built the bombs
It’s us—too quiet, too calm

[Bridge]
Can we build a better world, or just watch it fall?
Sing about peace, then answer the call
To the next crusade, the next black site
While we trade our soul for another byte

[Outro – stripped-down acoustic]
I wrote this riff with a fire in my chest
Not fear of robots, but of what we suppress
If there’s still hope, foster true tech
And, in the mirror—take a look — check

About The Song
by Jack Brouse and Daniel Brouse

Jack asked, “Lately I’ve been seeing lots of reports about the conflict between Israel, Iran and the US. lots of news stations are reporting that this is the beginning of WWIII, but that seems like an exaggeration and fear-mongering. while I don’t think it will lead into a world war, the impact of this conflict can lead to devastating losses and a potential for greater consequences. I was thinking about how people can do something to stop this from happening, but instead… they worry about how AI is gonna destroy the world and not war and climate change. so.. I wrote this riff thinking about all that. Originally I was gonna write the lyrics for this song, but I figured I’d hand this one over to you because I feel like you have a lot more to say about this topic.”

Iran: Trump’s Role in Escalating Conflict

Trump destabilized Iran early by withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) during his first term. In his second term, he escalated tensions further—demanding Iran halt even peaceful nuclear activities while backing Israel’s military actions. Most recently, he supported an unprovoked military campaign against Iran, which legal experts say may constitute an illegal war of aggression under international law.

This aggression adds to a broader pattern: enabling Putin’s war in Ukraine, backing Netanyahu’s assault on Gaza, and now pushing toward catastrophe in Iran. Rather than promoting peace, Trump’s foreign policy has facilitated war crimes and deepened global instability.

Climate Crisis: Anti-Science and Deregulation

Trump’s presidency marked a sharp rise in anti-science rhetoric. He denied climate change repeatedly—calling it a hoax and “bullshit”—and made these views policy. His administration withdrew from the Paris Agreement, dismantled over 100 environmental regulations, censored climate reports, and prioritized fossil fuel expansion. These actions have accelerated the climate crisis and undermined public trust in science and education.

AI: Innovation, Energy, and the Climate

Daniel supports low-energy AI models like DeepSeek and backs nuclear and other green energy sources. AI could help address the climate crisis—but many U.S. companies rely on inefficient, high-cost chips, especially for large language models. Nvidia chips, in particular, raise environmental concerns due to their energy demands.

However, AWS (Amazon Web Services) plans to release a new chip, Trainium3, within a year. It’s expected to double computing capacity while reducing energy use by 50%, showing that innovation and competition can drive both performance and sustainability.
