LYRICS
Thought it couldn’t get much stranger
There’s a babe lying in a manger
Little Boy Blue come blow your horn
The one not to call himself King has just been born

Thought I heard angels
Trumpets and bell jangles
Little Boy Blue come blow your horn
Lookin’ like the New Day is born

Swear I saw a comet
A tail (tale) ya can’t forget
Little Boy Blue come blow your horn
There’s Good News for the people to learn

LYRICS
I think and I thunk on figuring about
The whole world turning inside out

Have you ever, ever, ever, ever thought about
The whole world turning inside out

Give a scream! Give a shout! Figure about:
The whole world turning inside out
Give a scream! Give a shout! Figure about.
And maybe… just maybe… we can work it out

See the world… and it’s turning inside out

LYRICS
Get up go to work
Go to sleep, then…
Like some cool ole jerk
Do it all again

The spider and Little Miss Muffet
Looks like they’ll just have to rough it
If you scare the poor spider away
They’ll be nobody left to play

Chorus

A parrothead listening to Buffet
While a deadhead’s trying to huff it
If you waste your poor life away
There’s far less time to play

Chorus

LYRICS
The bold boy retrieves a toy
Shy lass… tail between ass
You’ve got it there
I think you’ve the instinct of a ratier
Just like that you’ll be tossing a rat

Then comes in the gold-digger
He’s tearing up our past
Too bad his soul can’t grow bigger
’cause his life will pass him by too fast

Tell the truth about
Ferret him out

ABOUT THE SONG
C A
C D A

This song was inspired by the animals of West Chester, PA… including the humans. It started when a terrier started going crazy on this toy. I was just sitting on the Court House wall writing a song, and a dog started going wild. It turns out it wasn’t a toy. It was a rat.

Ratiers are a type of dog specifically bred to flush-out rats.

The second verse is about a guy going through a public park with a metal detector.

LYRICS
Nothing works out the way they say it would
Though better off then it could
The damsel in distress
Is really quite a mess

Chorus
Perhaps it’s best
If you pass the test
Forget the rest
Just pass the test

Nothing plays out the way they say it would
So listen not I should
The princess’ kiss
Kiss of death more than bliss

Chorus

Fairy tales turn to dust
The soul’s thrust is a must
And in The End
The love you get is the love you send

Chorus

LYRICS
You and your voodoo
You and your voodoo do what you do
The more you change the more you’re the same
You’re going insane
You and your voodoo

Without concern
When will you learn
You don’t care about me
When do you think you’ll see
You and your voodoo
You and your voodoo
Do what you do

The more you change
The more you stay the same
The more you change
The more convinced I am
You’re going insane
You and your voodoo

The more your change
The more you rearrange
The more you change
The more insane
You’re insane
You went insane
You went off the tracks
You don’t know fiction from facts
You and your voodoo
You and your voodoo
you do what you do

The more you change
The more you rearrange
The more you change
The more insane
You and your voodoo
You and your voodoo
You do what you do

The more you change
The more you rearrange
The more you change
The more insane
You and your voodoo
You and your voodoo
You do what you do

This is the part we talk about the change
Postpartum depression
Ya I am
I learned my lesson
The more you changed
The more you rearranged
The more you changed
The more insane
You went insane
You went crazy on me
You and your voodoo
You and your voodoo
You do what you do

LYRICS
When down and out is in
Maybe I’ll begin
When down and out is in
Maybe I’ll begin
To check in
To checking in

’cause as soon as I found out
About checking out…
It’s true what’s said about the dead,
“You’re dead.”

Checking in to checking in
Been too long
Going wrong
With checking out

Checking in to checking in
I for one have begun
To check in to checking in

Checking in to checking in

I’ve got more than 36 items
I’ve got more than 12 items
I’ve gotta get out of this express check out
I’ve gotta get out of this check out
And, checkin’ in to checkin’ in

LYRICS
I ain’t in no need of a regiment
No fulfillment in discipline
I can walk a straight line at any time
The ability of agility… no religion

Chorus
97th Regiment
In honor of the dead
I thought we meant for a moment
Dead was something to dread?

During the war of rebellion
Son agin’ son to hell and back again
No will to be civil in war (at war)
Killin’s ill… that’s for sure

A monument to the dead
Made of stone not flesh and blood
Spilling wine and breaking bread
Bringing on the onslaught flood

LYRICS
Wonder who’s out ridin’ on the breeze
Definitely an imagination tease
Taking in the sensation please

Chorus
Cocoon cracked
Butterfly unfurled
Sprouts sprung
Kite-wind whirled

The trees all bowing to the breeze
The buds leaving into leaves
Mother Nature’s annual release

Finally thawed from the freeze
Been too long since days like these
Come to life! The moment seize!

LYRICS
Won’t you please pass some more
Though I dunno how much I can endure
But I like it

Indulgence endurance
Is what’s on tap
Intelligence absence
Can’t fill the gap

Won’t you please pour some more…

Won’t you please have some more….

Won’t you please mind your peas (p’s)
And the cues (q’s) to mind yours too
Indulgence won’t cease
Mind your cues and peas

LYRICS
If you go preaching about nourishment
How ’bout enlightenment for the soul?
If you go reaching for establishment
Be careful you don’t reach your goal

What’s that on the road ahead?
Surely, don’t call me Shirley
Ironically, you mistook what I said
What’s that on the road… a head?

If you go stretching and retching matters of the truth
What’s due to the devil will take it’s toll
Can’t change to Superman in a telephone booth
When archaic is obsolete and elite is null
Quenched thirst for when last is first
First is last is first is last is last is first

What’s that on the road ahead?
Surely, don’t call me Shirley
Ironically, you mistook what I said
What’s that on the road… a head?
