In the Domain of Fame

Walk alone through the darkness
See the light in her face
Distant memories that we carry
Oh, has this all been a waste?

I mean to cover miles
I’ve walked for many days
Tending to the fire, playing in the rain

See through lies in all their eyes
You’ll never trust again
If it weren’t for one lost soldier
They’d be a hundred of them dead

Delay your heart and double cross it
All is fair and people stare
So, wear shades in the sun
