Just Is (Of Peace)

by Daniel Brouse
Inspired by Insanity Humanity (Ain’t That the Truth!)
and the Rev. LeRoy Montana

A pound of bricks
A pound of feathers
Those in the throws of sticks
And, stones
Thrown from their thrones

Flesh and bones?
Nothing weathers
That matters

Is it fine
In this time
When, “What is that?”
Is that what is
Makes you wonder
How the others live

Perhaps, not that far away
A day
When what is just
Just is

More than chance
That justice
Someday will sway
The balance

PART II

When, “What is that?”
Is that what is
Makes you wonder
How the others live

When what is just
Just is

Justice
Someday will sway
The balance

How will I weigh?

A pound of bricks
A pound of feathers
Those in the throws of sticks
And, stones
The one that weathers
Thrown from their thrones
The one that matters
Is not me

Without we
I just am
Without you
Too
Two alones

A family
Better we’d be
Better by far
We already are
Together we way
Together we weigh
Together we may
Without fail
The Scale
Just is
Justice
