Love Story

[Break]
Keep your love alive!
[Break]
Love will survive

[Verse 1]
In the ancient sands of Man’s land,
Pyramids rise, tales of love expand,
There lived a man named Sinuhe,
Whose story of love, renew.

[Chorus]
Oh, it’s a love story from long ago,
With passion that continues to glow,
Through trials and tears, their hearts did sway,
In a land and time, so far away.
The start of love alive today.
[Break]
Keep your love alive!
[Break]
Love will survive

[Verse 2]
Sinuhe fled from tyrant’s throne,
To foreign lands, he left alone,
But in Retenu, love he found,
In Ammunet, his heart was bound.

[Chorus]
Oh, it’s a love story from long ago,
With passion that continues to glow,
Through trials and tears, their hearts did sway,
In a land and time, so far away.
The start of love alive today.
[Break]
Keep your love alive!
[Break]
Love will survive

[Bridge]
Though time has passed and kingdoms fall,
Their love endures, a timeless call,
For in the sands of old land’s lore,
Their story lives forevermore.

[Chorus]
Oh, it’s a love story from long ago,
With passion that continues to glow,
Through trials and tears, their hearts did sway,
In a land and time, so far away.
The start of love alive today.
[Break]
Keep your love alive!
[Break]
Love will survive

[Outro]
Oh, know woe, Sinuhe’s plight,
A the love that shines so bright,
Oh, no woe, Sinuhe’s light,
An ancient storied past,
Love stories will forever last.
[End]
Silence]

An Original Love Story
One of the oldest known love stories is the tale of “The Story of Sinuhe,” an ancient Egyptian literary work believed to date back to the Middle Kingdom period (c. 2055–1650 BCE). The story follows the protagonist, Sinuhe, who flees Egypt after the death of Pharaoh Amenemhat I. During his exile, Sinuhe finds refuge in the land of Retenu (modern-day Syria), where he falls in love with a woman named Ammunet. Their love is depicted as enduring despite Sinuhe’s longing for his homeland and the challenges he faces in exile. The story explores themes of love, loss, and longing, making it one of the earliest examples of romantic literature in human history.
